Performer's Biography

Ever since I was young, I can be found sitting in many unsightly positions, sleeping in bizarre poses, and have joints that bend the limits of nature. But the extent of the ability was only truly realized when primary school bullies try to twist my arms out of my shoulder sockets only to realize that after the arm is twisted two full rotations and pulled to the back, I am neither in pain nor were my shoulders dislocated. Henceforth, I was fascinated with contortion, and being flexible. In fact, the only part I look forward to in any sports or PE-type classes was the stretching part of the warm-up but I never entered a contortion or even basic dance class in my childhood. It is only when I am an adult (in college) that I met my coach Hannah Finn who was an alumna at my University that I realized that this interests could actually be pursued. I have trained with her since 2023, and I have enjoyed my contortion journey so far, and I am looking forward to being able to perform and dazzle the crowds with my inhuman-like moves.

A Little Puppet's Dream

Based on the classic Italian tale of Pinocchio, in this performance, the wooden string puppet yearns to become a human and and go through a "humanly" adventure. He yearns and thinks of all the things he want to do only to realize that he was trapped inside the confines of being a wooden puppet controlled by strings and can't actually do all the things he dreamt to do without breaking free of his strings.
